Administrative Assistant Plant Maintenance
**Responsibilities** **Position Summary:** Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Department. Performs clerical duties, as well as medical record review and performance improvement activities. May include ordering supplies and equipment. The ordering process entails receiving both manual and automated purchase requests from hospital departments and entering them into the Materials Management system for processing, creating, and sending purchasing orders. + Other related responsibilities may include supply purchasing of requested goods, resolution of pricing and shipping discrepancies, expediting of orders, vendor contract, and customer service. + Maintains a cordial and professional work environment. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Three years of advanced administrative support experience including office organization and procedures, word processing, spreadsheets, and dealing with the public required. + Associates degree or equivalent experience. + Ability to work well with others and independently, read and analyze technical material, set priorities, and manage work within timeframes essential. + Effective written and verbal communication skills required. + Strong customer service orientation and ability to handle highly confidential information essential. + Ability to maintain accurate records, prioritizes work, and follows through independently on projects with frequent interruptions necessary. + Must exercise sound judgment in initiating actions and responding to inquire. + Excellent telephone skills and the ability to remain calm and effective under stress are essential. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in financial functions strongly preferred. + Knowledge of hospital accounting processes helpful. **Overview** As the community’s only not-for-profit, faith-based healthcare system; Dignity Health Nevada has been guided by the vision and core values of the Adrian Dominican Sisters for more than 70 years.
