Administrator, Systems Operator (SA)
Position Profile
The Systems Operator – Digital Automation plays a critical role in ensuring seamless operation and support of advanced automation systems within designated Service Advantage Partner locations. This position involves hands-on operation and maintenance of robotic, automated, and technology-driven systems at customer sites, typically within a specific geographic area. The Systems Operator will oversee Modular Control Systems, Partner Structure, and client systems, ensuring operational efficiency, optimal performance, and proactive issue resolution in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
Operate and maintain automated systems, robotic technologies, 3D printing stations, and workstation solutions. Oversee software-based control systems, electrical and mechanical structures for operational efficiency. Utilize electro-mechanical expertise with proficiency in Linux and command-line functions to support client systems. Ensure high-level system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to optimize uptime. Conduct system software updates and configurations in alignment with client technical instructions. Analyze system performance data, applying methodical approaches for decision-making and problem-solving. Perform diagnostics, installations, mapping, induction, removal, configuration testing, and commissioning of automation systems. Engage in direct communications with vendor partners to ensure seamless integration and issue resolution. Maintain technical documentation, review site operations, and update records regularly. Drive process improvements to enhance operational excellence and team efficiency. Provide additional technical support as required by the Partner team.Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent training in Robotics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical fields. Expertise in automated systems, software-based controls, and electro-mechanical technologies. Strong Linux, Java, XML, SQL, and database administration skills. Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial PC systems. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data for decision-making. Ability to multi-task, prioritize workloads, and work independently in dynamic environments.Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electronics, or a related field. Strong problem-solving skills, with proficiency in troubleshooting complex automated systems. Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lbs. Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Self-motivated, customer-focused, and committed to driving team success.Work Environment & Physical Demands
Position operates within a warehouse setting, requiring technical equipment handling. May require variable shifts and overtime to align with operational needs. Regular use of laptop, client testing equipment, and system monitoring tools. Physical activity includes stooping, bending, kneeling, and lifting equipment as needed. Travel may be required for training or vendor-specific technical support sessions.
