About this role:
The Spina Bifida Program at Primary Children’s Hospital is seeking an energetic and passionate individual for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider position. This position is essential in management and continued development of the Spina Bifida Program, providing care across the life span, beginning with fetal counseling and management of the newborn program. The responsibilities will include the assessment and ongoing care of children with neural tube defects, such as myelomeningocele, meningocele, and lipomeningocele.
The APP works closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians with primary responsibilities in the outpatient setting. Other clinical responsibilities include leading a weekly multidisciplinary team of providers, coordinated care of the patient, leading the independent skills clinic, and continuing the development of the adolescent transition program.
Research and advocacy are key essentials to this role as well. The Spina Bifida Patient Registry and a urological protocols national study are the main studies and allow for local and national collaborative efforts. The Spina Bifida program has been awarded and recognized as a partner in clinical care, allowing advocacy for families and collaboration with other providers across the nation. The APP will be responsible for leading and specific components in patient care, research, and advocacy.

What you’ll bring:
Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).Certification as a nurse practitioner, or physician assistant.Eligible for State Controlled Substance License. Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.Prior pediatric APP experience is highly preferred.About us:
