The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Broadcast IT, you will provide administration for the QVC US broadcast IT infrastructure and support end-users. You will provide root cause analysis of escalated and complex problems related to broadcast IT systems and impart technical expertise of established IT standards for the team.
Your Impact
You will manage and optimize system performance of broadcast IT infrastructure to ensure 24x7x365 availability. You will work with Broadcast Engineering Architects to determine requirements for new broadcast IT systems and manage installations and support the IT specific portions of all broadcast systems (video routers, audio mixers, cameras, intercom).
What you will do
Provide 2nd tier technical support for the QVC US broadcast IT systems, including after-hours support.Be accountable for equipment specifications, system design, and installation.Oversee project integrations and ensure all tasks are completed.Testing of all broadcast IT infrastructure's hardware and software.Lead setup and configuration of broadcast IT systems.Be a subject matter expert for broadcast IT disaster recovery implementation, and testing.What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study. Equivalent work experience in a related field may be given consideration.IT certification preferred (CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft, VMWare)You will have 4 to 6 years of experience working in a corporate or broadcasting IT multi-tiered environmentInstalling, monitoring and troubleshooting computer servers and applications is required.Experience with network administration.Experience in Windows Admin, Network Admin, DB Admin and server technologies required.Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
