Job Summary
The Director, Emergency Department, provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. This role oversees clinical practice, departmental operations, staffing, and education while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. The Director ensures compliance with regulatory standards, drives quality improvement initiatives, and supports the professional development of team members to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related healthcare field required Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related healthcare field preferred 3-6 years of clinical experience in the Emergency Department required 1-2 years of progressive leadership experience in emergency services or acute care requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of emergency department operations, clinical workflows, and patient care delivery models. Strong leadership and team-building skills to inspire staff and drive departmental success. Proficiency in quality improvement methodologies and performance metric analysis. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, staff, and external stakeholders. Financial acumen in managing budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation. Ability to implement evidence-based practices and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards applicable to emergency care services. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address operational and patient care challenges effectively.Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required BCLS - Basic Life Support required ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse preferred TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course preferred ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Certification preferredBenefits
