Job Description: Field Representative I, Fulfillment

Position Profile

The Field Representative I, Fulfillment is responsible for operational functions within a fulfillment center across various service areas. These include operating high-volume print equipment (Segment 5), managing large-scale print jobs, handling shipping and receiving, distributing mail/faxes, applying postage, performing copier maintenance, and providing customer support. Additional responsibilities may include bindery, quality control, reception, meeting room setup, and light building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Operate high-volume printing equipment in a production-heavy, mechanically advanced print environment. Set up and run all applications on all equipment. Perform binding and finishing work. Conduct daily inspections of convenience copiers and resolve paper jams; escalate issues to technicians. Execute basic repair and maintenance on customer copier equipment. Maintain inventory records and provide data for management reports. Distribute mail, fax transmissions, and office supplies to designated personnel or drop-off locations. Calculate job charges and maintain billing logs. Respond to and coordinate customer service calls. Perform filing duties as required by customer needs, including document purging and archiving. Deliver completed jobs to specified locations, both within and outside the site. Maintain daily meter and service logs. Travel between customer buildings as necessary. Answer customer inquiries regarding job status and feasibility. Maintain and stock copier areas to ensure cleanliness and functionality. Perform shipping/receiving tasks and manage materials handling. Assist with meeting and conference room setups. Support occupant moves within assigned facilities. Perform light maintenance duties such as re-lamping and occasional cleaning. Respond to off-hour and weekend emergencies as needed. Use equipment such as shrink-wrap machines, paper cutters, bindery tools, joggers, tape machines, scales, calculators, postage meters, and basic PC applications. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. 2–3 years of related work experience, ideally in a high-production, mechanically advanced print environment. Valid driver's license and proof of minimum required auto insurance coverage. Ability to learn and operate client-specific production and communication systems (e.g., mainframe applications).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of copier equipment and basic repair preferred. Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures. Basic electronics knowledge preferred. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to comprehend and follow mail delivery instructions and packing procedures. Ability to interpret technical documentation (manuals, parts books, etc.). Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Frequent exposure to printer/copier noise, toner, temperature fluctuations, and minor paper handling injuries (e.g., paper cuts). Exposure to outdoor weather when traveling between buildings. Contact with customers, colleagues, managers, vendors, and service technicians. High-stress levels due to fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Physical effort including long periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and moving wheeled equipment weighing up to 400 lbs.
