Job Description:
This position provides operational support to the Gift Shop leader.Scope
Under the direction of the Gift Shop leader, provide direction and training to Gift Shop Volunteers. May act as the backup to the Gift Shop leader as needed.
Job Essentials
Upon request, may prepare, reconcile, and record cash receipts for deposit.Operates the cash register and accurately processes money transactions.Ensures proper and accurate transaction of money, credit cards, and reports.Answers phone, takes phone orders and messages with timely and accurate follow through.Follows department opening, closing, and security procedures.Participates in and supports the development of department and team goals. Actively participates in the team to support teamwork and a positive working environment.May assist with stocking, inventory, and price tagging of merchandise.Shift Details
Thursday evening and Saturdays - with flexibility to cover throughout the week.Minimum Qualifications
Six months experience in a retail environment, responsible for cash and credit card transactions.Experience with cash registers and computers.Demonstrated excellent interpersonal relations and communications skills.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Office products and Point of Sale.Physical Requirements:
Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.See and read computer monitors and documents.Lift and carry inventory.Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.Location:
