LPN | Wound Care Center | Days | Full Time
Overview The Wound Care Licensed Practical Nurse is a clinical staff position in the Wound Care Center with emphasis on the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse; the LPN administers medications .The LPN is responsible for following all Wound Healing Center (WHC) policies and procedures, care protocols and diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines, as directed by a registered nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing support to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration. The LPN will be responsible for assisting with patient and wound care data conferences and continuing education is required as determined by the program director. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Nursing degree form an accredited nursing school. Current Florida License. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Skills and Specific Job Knowledge: Effective verbal and written skills. An ability and willingness to function under the direction of a RN to meeting patient care needs in a dynamic work environment. An ability and willingness to work with age-appropriate and developmental needs of patients. An ability and willingness to work with patients experiencing acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, including those whom are terminally ill. A positive attitude towards health care team members and diverse patient populations. Evidence of good physical and emotional health. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
