This position provides administrative and clinical support, and oversees the hiring and training of staff members, liaise with patients and healthcare professionals, and help coordinate patient care. They also work with the Director to ensure that the clinic are adhering to standardized policies and meeting compliance and quality expectations.

Essential Functions
Monitor, develop, coach and mentor staff to achieve quality patient care outcomesCover competencies for clinical staffAssist in establishing and implementing departmental goals, objectives, processes and policies that pertain to clinical and front office areasResponsible for establishing standard daily work for all staffResponsible for covering clinical and clerical positions as allowed by scope and supporting patient throughput when personnel are out for any reason.Effectively communicate with physicians, staff and patients in a professional and respectful mannerPrepare staffing models and work schedules for staffAssist with ensuring staff accuracy with quality and compliant clinical documentationPerform annual performance reviews and maintain progressive discipline for all staffReview and approve time for all staff each pay periodInterview and select staff for open positionsBased on clinic location, coordinate and oversee all front office and/or clinic operationsMaintain a positive working relationship with all staffAssist in ensuring that medical charts are prepared for potential auditAssist Director in managing departmental budgetsPerforms other duties as requested by primary manager that do not compromise moral code of conduct or protocols set in place for patient or employee safety.Supervised PositionsBased on clinic location, may include Clinical, Ancillary and Clerical StaffQualifications
Minimum Experience RequiredOne (1) year of supervisory experience in practice managementOr, demonstrated ability of complex problem solving, critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and strong decision making that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound clinical judgment according to established standards of nursing practice.Minimum Experience PreferredTwo to three (2-3) years practice management experienceMinimum Education RequiredCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) in state of AlabamaMinimum Education PreferredBachelor’s degree or;Completion of an undergraduate degree;Working knowledge of revenue cycle to include medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT and codingRequired Skills/Abilities
Maintain RN licensure in the state of AlabamaAbility to quickly adapt to changing circumstances in fast-paced environment.Demonstrates appropriate utilization of the skills of the Registered Nurse as approved by the Alabama Board of NursingActively accepts, understands, and practices appropriate standards of nursing practice.Time management skills.Successful completion of all competencies and the monitoring of staff competenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrates ability to communicate and organize concepts, ideas, verbally and in writing, with precise word usage, clear meaning, good presentation, vocabulary, grammar and correct spelling.Encourages and promotes positive behaviors in coworkers.Demonstrates ability to work with patients, families, visitors, and co-workers regardless of race, gender, disease process, life-style, religious or cultural beliefsRespect and caring demonstrated in words, action, and body language to all patients and clinic staff.Recognizes and employs team efforts to achieve departmental/organizational goals.Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound clinical judgment according to established standards of nursing practice.
