Job Description SummaryResponsible for assessing the nursing needs and initiating appropriate neuro-intervention for patients in the Radiology Department, according to Patient Care Services and Radiology Department philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures. Maintains standards of nursing care and practice of Patient Care Services. Coordinates and conducts educational programs for students, School of Radiology, and staff. When needed; provides ad-hoc nursing support in other Radiology areas.
Job DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required;Current state license required;ACLS within 6 months of hire required;Verification of completion of basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation;Able to respond to the hospital within 30 minutes while on-call required;Basic knowledge of radiologic procedures and equipment preferred;ICU/ED/Neuro or similar experience preferred;Experience administering moderate sedation preferred.LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing;Ability to communicate in an emergency situation.
