**Responsibilities**
+ Work with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and others to evaluate new patients and recommend a plan of care.
+ Provide treatments to patients focusing on increasing range of motion, strengthening, and maintaining balance during daily activities
+ Recommend adaptive equipment and customize it as needed
+ Perform re-evaluation assessments to update progress, status changes, etc.
+ Document all evaluations, treatments, and any changes to the treatment plan
+ Seek help when needed; provide support when others request it - this can include assistance with tasks, advice, mentoring, or help to obtain additional specialty certifications if you’re interested.
+ Maintain a friendly and upbeat attitude to motivate our patients to do their best.
+ We are offering $3,000 referral bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience; evidence of extensive training in a given specialty area. Specialty areas may include but not be limited to: neuro rehabilitation, orthopedics, pediatrics, hand rehabilitation, pain management and work hardening.
+ Current California license in Occupational Therapy.
+ AHA BLS card.

+ Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members, physicians, hospital departments and the general public.
+ Demonstrates knowledge of teaching and leadership skills including a proficiency for conceptual thinking, motivating, teaching principles and problem solving.
+ Demonstrates advanced working knowledge of the principles, standard practices, procedures and equipment utilized in the department.
+ Ability and willingness to actively participate in departmental and hospital programs.
+ Demonstrates self-motivation and ability to achieve results through good organizational skills and prioritization of work.
+ Knowledge and understanding of pertinent standards and regulations including DHS and The Joint Commission.
+ Ability to gather, comprehend and interpret data for Quality Improvement activities.
+ Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment.
+ Ability to mentor/coach student interns or oversee their clinical experience.
+ Ability to be flexible with caseload within any given day, as needed for the benefit of the department. Promotes O.T. services in the community as appropriate.

**Pay Range**
$49.20 - $71.34 /hour
